David Singer was among more than 600 Cancer Action Network volunteers who were in Washington this week to talk with lawmakers about getting more funding for cancer research and treatment. While the National Cancer Institute and the Centers for Disease Control both saw increases in their budgets this year, the Cancer Action Network says more money is needed for research. Advocates also say that palliative care should be easier for patients and they are also expressing concern about a Medicare loophole that can lead to seniors being charges hundreds of dollars for colonoscopies. ...
