McDonald’s Sued for Unpaid Overtime and ‘Stolen’ Wages
McDonald’s Corp. has been sued by employees in California, Michigan and New York for allegedly denying overtime pay and requiring employees to work while off the clock.
According to lawsuit documents, the plaintiffs are requesting class-action status and are demanding that McDonald’s return “stolen” wages.
The suit is seeking an unspecified amount in damages for the fast food chain’s practice of failing to pay overtime wages, forcing workers to perform job duties while off the clock and charging employees for uniforms.
Plaintiffs are also demanding that McDonald’s promise to refrain from engaging in similar practices in the future.
